Policies regarding Discipline

  Game Suspensions (Players)
The MAYSA Board and/or its Executive Director, depending on the infraction, may suspend/sanction a player for offenses committed on the field (see table below). Referees will collect player pass for appropriate player (in Classic and State Leagues) that has been sent off and send it to the respective League Administrator. Card will be returned after a proper sanction and/or suspension has been determined and served.

Serious Foul Play 1 - 4 games
Foul/Abusive Language
(Profanity/Obscenity)
1 - 6 games
Striking a Player 4 -12 games
Striking a Referee 10 games – life

  Yellow Card Accumulation Policy
Players accumulating 3 yellow cards during the course of the season will be suspended for at least one game. For Classic and State League teams, player pass for respective player will be collected and held by the MAYSA office until suspension is served.

  Report/complaint
Any reports of inappropriate conduct and/or yellow/red cards being issued to players must be reported to MAYSA in writing. Reports may be faxed to 608-276-0119 or emailed to clay@maysa.org. Reports may also be mailed via USPS to
