MAYSA Financial Assistance Program

Approved by the MAYSA Board of Directors, December 5, 2007

To ensure that every child has the opportunity to participate in our activities regardless of socio-economic status, MAYSA pledges the following:

  • To work with US Youth Soccer’s Soccer Start Program and WYSA to develop Soccer Start Programs in the Madison area.
  • To work with WYSA and US Youth Soccer’s Soccer Start Program to provide player insurance, coaching development, and other resources to already established programs geared toward children in under-served and socioeconomically disadvantaged places.
  • To notify clubs of grant opportunities and assist with grant applications.
  • To waive a portion of MAYSA team registration dues for teams with players who qualify for the free/reduced lunch program. The waiver would be applied when clubs register their teams with MAYSA. (The exact assistance amount will be determined with each annual budget.) The cost of these waivers would be offset by the interest MAYSA accrues as well as donations from the community.
