You don't have to know soccer; a love of the game is a plus!
You do need to get a WYSA Risk Management Pass, a simple registration with the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association (WYSA).
You do need to take a first level ('Y1') Coach Clinic from WYSA. This course is currently only offered online. See WYSA site for more details.

How to Register for a risk management pass:

1. Once you have been added to your club's roster on the WYSA rostering system, you will receive an email from Demosphere with instructions for completing Risk Management requirements.

2. Go to the link in that email, log in to your account and complete the forms and trainings as directed.

3. You will need to pay your registration fee to cover.  Registration fee = $15.  Many clubs cover this cost - ask your club!

4. When background check is approved, the RM pass will be issued from WYSA and sent directly to your club. Follow up with your club regarding how they will distribute passes once received.

5. RM passes are good for 2 years.
